“Hesed Shmuel” – the ability to give good
In an increasingly complicated and unstable time globally, people entering the “golden age” of their lives need special support. Elderly people today feel themselves unwanted because of changes in their habitual life standards; disease, loneliness and difficult spiritual experiences, all plague the aging individual. The team at the Jewish centre “Hesed Shmuel” has worked tirelessly to remediate these problems. Thanks to the support of the English fund World Jewish Relief, Hesed Shmuel is successfully implementing project “Step forward.” Project Step Forward is a new form of social work catering to elderly people, providing patronage in the form of social welfare and communication.
